Online registration open now: Link
Applications for the good practice competition can be submitted now: Link(click file 'Registration Contest')
After three editions, in 2005 in Germany, in 2006 in Netherlands and in 2007 in Spain, it is today the region Limousin, which organises the fourth edition of the Silver Economy conference which will take place in Limoges January 28th and 29th 2010.

The ageing of the population is an inescapable fact with many consequences. If some people consider ageing as a disadvantage and a burden, the SEN@ER network (www.silvereconomy-europe.org) envisages this phenomenon as a challenge and an opportunity for regional economic growth.

Exchanges of experiments and good practices which will take place during this conference will allow to open new tracks and means of actions.

The conference will include amongst others a roundtable on "Regional silver economy and ageing strategies - examples and lessons learned" with experts from different European regions and a series of parallel workshops on
WS1: "Strategies for ageing in the area of employment and voluntary work",
WS2: "Ageing well and well-being" and
WS3: "Local strategies for independent living"

The Good Practice Competition is also now open and interested parties are asked to submit their applications online.

The conference website can be found here: http://www.region-limousin.fr/4e-conference-Silver-Economy (starting in French and continuing in English when scrolling down).

The good practice competition application form for the submission of good practices (in MS Word format) can be downloaded here in French or in English: http://www.region-limousin.fr/4e-conference-Silver-Economy
