Die LINKE im Europaparlament zu: Griechenland

Europäische Union - 19.05.2017

Dear colleagues, this might interest you:
I saw a lot of bullshit coming from certain corners of DIE LINKE on Greece and Tsipras (claiming that there is "no alternative" for the Syriza-led government in Greece than to bow to the demands of the EU-Institutions and the IMF), because any "exit-strategy" would be worse.

But this "common statement" tops everything in this respect that earlier on had been claimed by the so called "realists" in that party. Now this, signed by the President of the "radical left" in the European Parlament.: "Stepping up competition policy to break up oligopolies in the interest of fair markets should remain priorities in order to bring the Greek economy on a sustainable path of recovery." So breaking up state control on the energy sector etc. is o.k. and a "leftist policy objective"? This is only one example amongst others in that text. This is R2G at its best ...
