Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, poor working conditions have exposed weaknesses in health systems which threaten health care workers’ fundamental right to health. Health care workers in their everyday work and especially on the front line of the global COVID-19 response should be supported through this period of unparalleled workplace pressures, and protected against workplace discrimination including ageism. In this IFA Virtual Town Hall Ms. Soosmita Sinha, Founder and President of the Health Law Institute in Geneva, Switzerland, explores the impact of ageism in the health workforce and good practices in safeguarding the wellbeing of health workers.
